Help From the Other Side

A man in spirit pops in to send help to his wife

A few nights ago I was preparing to sleep but as soon as I closed my eyes, I felt the presence of spirit next to me very strongly.

I’ve requested to Spirit that my rest is not disturbed but curiosity overcome me and I asked, “Who is this?” instead of asking them to come back during the daylight hours.

I saw an image of a long, silver flute with two hands, playing it off to the side, a classical flute as opposed to a Native American type flute which would be held differently.

“OK, I feel that I should know who this is, please be more clear.”

The male presence kept repeating, “FLUTE!” until I mentally said,

“Oh! This is Leo!” I could feel him affirming that and becoming happy that I recognized him.

Several years ago, I had done a complimentary reading for a friend who had lost her husband quite suddenly, he died in his sleep. She, and all the people who knew him, had been devastated, it was quite unexpected. I did not know him but saw the outpouring of love and respect others had for him.

Leo was a musician, well-known in the area and was a master of the classical flute.

He had done many gigs with another friend, Angie, and asked me to please wish her a happy birthday for him. Her birthday is coming up next week and I assured him that I would do so.

He also showed me someone sitting in front of sheet music on a music stand.

Leo then went on to ask me to check in on his wife, I had lost touch with her when I moved to another state during the pandemic. He seemed concerned that she was not doing well and I promised that I would contact her the next day and thanked him for coming by.

And off he went. My nights are not like what you might have seen on the TV show, Medium. One thing about that show I had always felt was inaccurate was it portrayed Alison DuBois as someone who was never able to get a full nights sleep because spirits were waking her with disturbing visions.

That is just not the case for me, or for any mediums that I know, we generally set very clear boundaries between, “I’m open for messages now.” and “I’m closed for business, please come back later.”!

This felt important and I realized how long it had been since I’d heard from both his wife, Jenny, and my friend Angie.

The following morning I sent texts to both of them to let them know I had a message, Jenny replied immediately and was very happy her husband had shown up for me, and she acknowledged she was having some struggles with the many responsibilities she had been left with.

I felt Leo to my right side again, nudging me, “Tell her about that website.” I knew what he meant, I had found money on the Unclaimed Funds website for several family members and asked Jenny if she knew about it.

“No!” she replied. “Never heard of this!” I quickly did a Search and found there were hundreds of dollars waiting to be claimed, both under her name and her husband’s.

Jenny was thrilled and thanked me, saying she needed some extra funds for vet bills for their dogs. She offered to send me some of the funds as a thank-you, I politely refused but asked her permission to share this story and she generously agreed.

Angie responded soon afterwards and thanked me for the birthday wishes, and shared that she had recently started to give flute lessons - that would explain the notes on the music stand. And, Leo had given her a flute that looks just like the one I saw in the vision.

I was, and am, blown-away by the power of those in spirit to come through and help their loved ones. Somehow, Leo knew that I would be able to help his wife find $500 that was due to her which she may never have known about otherwise.

People do not become omniscient immediately upon passing over, but they do defintiely gain an overview and increase in knowledge and help us when they can.

On my end, I’m glad I did not shoo him away with, “I’m trying to sleep!”. This was a very special connection for me, I remain grateful for Spirit every day.
